API concepts

A dated list of the changes to the schema and the behavior of the Prescient GraphQL API, with the newest change first.

This page lists each change to the Prescient GraphQL API that can affect an integration. The newest change is first. The API has one version, and the endpoint has no version number.

  • Fixed: A key with a channel scope now returns the rows of each data source of its channels. Before this fix, some channels returned no rows in modeledMetrics and reportedMetrics for a scoped key. A key with no channel scope did not change.
  • Changed: channelNames now follows the channel scope of the key. A scoped key gets only the channels that it can read. A key with no channel scope did not change.
  • Added: The sourceCampaignTactic field on ModeledMetricRow. The field is the tactic that the campaign has in the Data Center, or null if the campaign has no tactic. A query that does not select the field did not change.
  • Changed: The API moved to a new platform. The endpoint, the request, the schema, the pagination, and the shape of an error did not change, so no integration needs a code change.
  • Changed: Repeated authentication failures from one IP address now cause a temporary block. See Limits.
  • Changed: models and channelNames now return their items in a stable sorted order. The order was never part of the schema, so treat both lists as lists with no order.
  • Added: Channel scope for API keys. A scoped key reads only its channels in modeledMetrics and reportedMetrics. See Authentication.
  • Changed: The salesChannel argument of modeledMetrics is now a list. If you leave it out, the query returns both ECOMMERCE and RETAIL. Before this change, the default was ECOMMERCE only.
  • Added: The RETAIL value of SalesChannelEnum, so modeledMetrics can return retail metrics.
  • Added: More than one API key for a workspace. Each key has a name.
  • Added: An expiration date and a revoke action for a key, and a record of the last use of a key. The API rejects an expired key and a revoked key.
  • Added: Subscription metrics in modeledMetrics, for a model that measures subscriptions.
  • Added: The reportedMetrics query, with the ReportedMetricQuery and ReportedMetricRow types.
  • Added: The first release of the API, as a beta.
