Add `.md` to any page URL to get that page as Markdown. # Plan in the chat > Reference for the plan card and the run card of the Prescient AI chat, with each button, each status, each message, the settings of the plan sentence, and each rule. This page lists the parts of a plan in the chat. A plan in the chat has two cards. The plan card holds the settings before the run. The run card shows the plan after **Run plan**. ## Buttons | Button | What it does | | -------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Build this plan** | Puts the daily recommendation in the chat as a plan. Nothing is created until you select **Run plan**. | | **Show all settings** | Shows the full Media Forecaster form in the chat. The button then reads **Hide settings**. | | **Run plan** | Creates the plan in Media Forecaster and starts the run. | | **Back to the recommendation** | Returns each setting to the recommendation. For a plan that Prescient AI proposed, the button reads **Back to the proposal**. | | **View results** | Shows the results of the plan in the chat. The button shows for a plan that Prescient AI proposed, until the results are on the screen. | | **Continue in Media Forecaster** | Opens the page of the plan in Media Forecaster. You leave the chat. For a failed plan the button reads **Fix in Media Forecaster**. In a place where you cannot save the chat, the button reads **Open in Media Forecaster**. | | **Save this chat as a project** | Opens the dialog that saves the chat to the Library and tracks the plan to its goal. | | **Try again** | Loads the results again after a load that failed. | | **Build in Media Forecaster** | Opens the New plan form of Media Forecaster. | ## Settings in the plan sentence | Setting | What it sets | | ----------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Models | The models that the plan uses. The sentence gives the number of models, or the name when the plan uses one model. | | Reference period | The past period that sets the current spend of each row. | | Planning period | The dates that the plan covers. | | Plan type | **Optimization** or **Forecast**. | | Goal | The outcome that the plan works toward, and the target if the goal has one. | | Budget | The amount that the plan can spend. | | Spend flexibility | How far the plan can move each row from its reference spend. | | Media | The channels, tactics, and campaigns in the plan. This choice opens the full form at its **Media** step, not a small panel. | ## Statuses | Status | What it means | | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Loading your media** | The plan card is loading your channels and campaigns. **Run plan** becomes available when the load completes. | | **Queued in Media Forecaster** | The plan waits to start. | | **Optimizing in Media Forecaster** | An Optimization plan is running. The card also shows when the run started, and a line that reads **Usually {time}** with the time that a run of this kind takes. | | **Forecasting in Media Forecaster** | A Forecast plan is running. The card shows the same two lines as for an Optimization plan. | | **Still optimizing — taking longer than usual** | The run is longer than the usual time for a plan of this kind. For a Forecast plan the status reads **Still forecasting — taking longer than usual**. The plan continues to run if you leave the page. | | **This plan failed. Fix its settings and run it again in Media Forecaster.** | The plan failed. Select **Fix in Media Forecaster** to open the plan. | | **Ready** | The plan is complete. For a plan from the recommendation, the results replace the run card. For a plan that Prescient AI proposed, select **View results**. While the results load, the status reads **Ready · loading the results…**. | A word in braces stands for a value from your account or your plan. ## Rules | Rule | Value | | ----------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Plans from the recommendation | One in each chat. To build the recommendation again, start a new chat. | | When the plan is created | The plan is created in Media Forecaster when you select **Run plan**, not before. | | Start of the planning period | A plan that Prescient AI proposes starts today or later. A weekly plan covers whole weeks and starts at the next week boundary. | | Plan type | By default the plan type follows the planning period: 42 days or more gives **Forecast**, and a shorter period gives **Optimization**. A plan type that you ask for in the chat is kept. | | Spend flexibility | **Medium**, 0.5× to 1.5× of the baseline, unless the proposal sets a different band. | | Earlier proposals | Only the newest proposal in a chat can run. An earlier proposal becomes a summary that you cannot change. | | Results after the run | The results of a plan from the recommendation replace the run card when the plan is ready. For a plan that Prescient AI proposed, select **View results**. | | Order of the plan sentence | The sentence follows the steps of the New plan form: timeline, goal, budget, media. | ## Messages | Message | What it means | | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **{budget warning} — a big swing; results are less certain far from what you’ve spent.** | The budget is far from your recent spend. The plan can run. Read its results as less certain. | | **This target is {N}× what happens if nothing changes — a big stretch; read the forecast as directional.** | The target is far above the outcome with no change. The plan can run. Read its forecast as a direction, not as an exact figure. | | **Couldn’t reach Media Forecaster. Try again.** | The chat did not create the plan card. Try again. | | **This plan isn’t visible to you. It may be private to whoever created it, or deleted.** | You cannot open the plan. The plan is private to a different person, or a person deleted it. | | **These results can’t be displayed here.** | The chat cannot draw the results.
